Talk to your doctor if you take any of the following types of medicines before starting to take Béres Q10:
- coumarin type orally administered anticoagulants (e.g. warfarin, phenprocoumon, acenocoumarol), because ubidecarenone may reduce the effect of these medicines, so coagulation may change;

antihypertensive medicines, because ubidecarenone may reduce blood pressure;
iron preparations, because vitamin E may reduce the efficacy of iron supplements;
vitamin A, because vitamin E may increase vitamin A absorption;
vitamin K, because it may lengthen coagulation time
so-called thiazide-type diuretics, because these medicines may inhibit zinc absorption;
tetracyclines and penicillamine, which inhibit the absorption of particular trace elements.
Zinc salts may reduce the absorption of fluoroquinolone-type antibiotics (levofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, norfloxacin), so special care needs to be taken in case of their co-administration.
To avoid interactions take Béres Q10 at least 2 hours before or after taking other medicines.

The simultaneous consumption of foodstuff containing high quantities of fibre and/or phytic acid (e.g. cereals, whole-grain bread and wheat bran have high contents of phytic acid) may reduce the absorption of trace elements.
