Sick kids now recover in a state-of-the-art ward in Miskolc

2018. January 24.
For the second time, Béres Foundation granted an aid to the Department of Paediatric Haematology & Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation of the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Hospital.

In 2006, the Foundation helped the department’s work by donating a stem cell counter, and in 2016, thanks to a Charity Gala, essential assistance was provided in the renovation works. “The physicians and nurses working here demonstrate their commitment and exemplary perseverance every single day, and do everything they can to get the children, who are often treated in this ward for months, on the road to recovery. It is a great pleasure for us to contribute to them being able to work at a modern and state-of-the-art ward,” said Klára Béres, President of the Béres Foundation.

The renovated and recently inaugurated cleanrooms, which are used after bone marrow transplants, and wardrooms are now perfectly adapted to 21st century expectations.
