Cooperation for the health of Hungarian people living in Transylvania

2017. May 11.
Béres Pharmaceuticals made a donation of Béres products of HUF 5 million to support the screening programme to be performed in Transylvania by the Municipality of Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County and the Hetényi Géza Hospital and Medical Centre of Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County. The donation was presented by Dr. Zsolt Bischof, Plant Manager of the Szolnok production facility of Béres Pharmaceuticals to Norbert Lippai, Medical Director ad interim of the Hetényi Géza Hospital and Medical Centre.

Béres Foundation is known to place a special emphasis on charity. One of the most important moral obligations of the largest pharmaceutical company with Hungarian ownership is to pay attention to others and help wherever possible. Most of the company’s donations are related to healing and most of the time the donation is made up of Béres products. There are strong links between Béres and the Hungarian people living across the border and the company provides continuous support for them.

The health screening programme in Covasna County, Transylvania, is organised for the third time by the Municipality of Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County and the Hetényi Géza Hospital and Medical Centre of Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County. The examinations between 12-18 June 2017 – screenings for cardiovascular risks, tests in the fields of neurology, optics, dermatology, paediatrics, bone density measurements, screenings for scoliosis and splay foot and mouth cancer screenings – will be performed by 5 doctors and 12 specialised assistants of the hospital who work in the project on a voluntary basis.
